Silverstone Museum, alongside its valued partners Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and DHL, is proud to be launching its unique exhibition, The Indy 500: A British Success Story, which opens from May 1st!

Motorsport and F1 fans making a pit stop at Silverstone Museum will see some of the world’s most iconic IndyCars for the first time ever, as the venue’s new exclusive exhibition gets off the starting grid this May. Take your place alongside the iconic racing machines, and discover the raw speed that these IndyCars possess! 

Mansell Lola

MANSELL'S WORLD TITLE DOUBLE

For the first time ever, Nigel Mansell's back-to-back F1 and IndyCar title-winning cars, the Williams FW14B and the Lola T93/00, will be on display side by side together.

AJ Foyt Coyote AT SILVERSTONE

THE SILVERSTONE-WINNING COYOTE

Fan-favourite AJ Foyt won the only IndyCar race to ever take place at Silverstone in 1978, and his mean machine will be completing its long victory-lap return this May! 

Bentley 1922

BENTLEY'S FIRST FORAY

This stunning 3-litre racing machine from 1922 was Bentley's first entry into the IndyCar series. Douglas Hawkes, the car's owner, put the UK-based car on a steamship bound for the USA - and then drove the car to Indianapolis for the race!

Lotus 56

BRITISH TURBINE POWER

Designed to race in IndyCar and Formula 1 simultaneously, the Lotus 56 was at the forefront of racing technology and featured a gas turbine engine. Three Lotus 56's were entered in 1968, driven by Graham Hill, Joe Leonard, and Art Pollard.
