Silverstone Museum Welcomes its 100,000th Visitor of the Year!

Silverstone Museum is delighted to announce that we have welcomed our 100,000th visitor of 2024 on August 14th!

This year has seen the introduction of several exciting new exhibits that have contributed to the museum’s success. Among the highlights is the launch of our state-of-the-art Sim Suite at Silverstone, featuring professional-grade racing rigs that offer visitors the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving the iconic circuit. This immersive experience has quickly become a favourite for both casual visitors and seasoned racing fans!

In addition, we unveiled our feature Indy 500: A British Success Story exhibition earlier this year, in partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and DHL. This exhibit provides a fascinating look at the history and legacy of the prestigious race, showcasing rare artefacts and memorabilia, and displaying a WORLD FIRST of Nigel Mansell's back-to-back F1 and IndyCar title-winning cars side-by-side.

Another standout addition is the Future Tech exhibit, created in collaboration with Aramco. This forward-looking exhibition explores the cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of motorsport, from fuel types, to advanced engineering solutions, and a look towards the 2026 Formula 1 regulation changes.

As we celebrate this significant achievement, the team extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who has visited and supported the museum this year.
