IET Faraday® Challenge Day 2023-24 National Final
24th Jul 2024
On Wednesday 26th June 2024 Silverstone Museum proudly hosted the IET Faraday® Challenge Days National Final. The top five teams from the 2023-24 league table gathered at our museum to compete for the winning title and a £1000 prize for their school. This year’s challenge, in partnership with the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund and National Highways, required teams to design a prototype to enhance the road user experience.
The event was a resounding success and perfectly aligned with one of our biggest aims: to educate and inspire the next generation. At Silverstone Museum, we strive to make learning fun yet educational, with a strong focus on science, technology, engineering, and maths.
Rob Jaina, our Head of Learning & Engagement, remarked, "Supporting education and STEM is at the heart of all we do at Silverstone Museum, and so we are incredibly proud to be the host venue of the IET Faraday engineering challenge final. This unique challenge not only encourages innovation and creativity among young minds; it is also a testament to the power of interactive learning and the importance of providing students with hands-on experiences, which is mirrored in our own education programme at the Museum. A huge well done to all the students who took part in this year’s final!”.
We hope to develop our partnerships with organisations like IET who are dedicated to STEM education. Events like these not only showcase the incredible potential of young minds but also reinforce our commitment to fostering a love for learning and innovation.
