This inspiring day will feature insightful panel discussions led by experts in the field, offering a deep dive into the contributions of women in racing. With sessions at 11AM and 1PM, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the remarkable stories of female racers and the researchers uncovering their legacies. Best of all, these panels are included free with museum entry, making it the perfect chance to combine a visit to Silverstone’s rich motorsport heritage with an educational and engaging discussion.
Our panel features leading historians and authors who have dedicated their work to highlighting the impact of women in motorsport. Dr. Barbara Horley will share her research on the roles of women in speedway racing, shedding light on an often-overlooked aspect of the sport. Jon Saltinstall, author of a biography on Formula 1 pioneer Lella Lombardi, will offer insights into the life and career of one of racing’s most significant figures. Additionally, Rachel Harris-Gardiner, author of Speed Queens, will present her discoveries about the untold stories of female racers who have left their mark on motorsport history. Their discussions will provide invaluable perspectives on both the struggles and achievements of women in racing.
