TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

This legal notice applies to all purchases made by you through the website under the domain name [www.silverstonemuseum.co.uk] (the ‘website’ or ‘site’).

By booking tickets through the website you are entering in to an agreement with Silverstone Heritage Limited (SHL), (a Community Benefit Society), the charitable organisation that operate the Silverstone Interactive Museum, Silverstone Circuit, Northants, NN12 8TN, Registration Number 7962, on the terms and conditions set out below.

These terms and conditions of sale are additional to and not a substitute for the Website Terms and Conditions of Use of the SHL website.

 

Ordering Tickets

When you confirm your order for tickets by selecting ‘confirm order’ on the payment page, you are making an offer to SHL to purchase the tickets on the terms set out in your order. Your tickets will be booked and you will receive a confirmation of this by email, normally within 24 hours. You are responsible for making sure the information in your order is correct before confirming the order.

When you book tickets using the website, you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions, including the Website Terms and Conditions of Use.

We accept online payment in a secure environment, and we currently accept Mastercard and Visa credit cards, Visa and Maestro debit cards and American Express. All transactions are shown in pounds sterling (£). All prices quoted are correct at the time of publication and where appropriate include UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate.

We suggest you allocate three hours for your visit. Last entry time into the attraction is two hours before closing.

Visiting during Major Events

If booking a visit during one of Silverstone Circuit’s Major Events, entry to the attraction will be subject to also holding a ticket to the event. For more information, please contact us on the above email address.

Types of Ticket and Ticket Holders

Available tickets are as follows:

Adult: a person aged 16+

Child: a person aged 5 to 15 inclusively

Deaf or disabled: a person with a hearing impairment or disability (please purchase applicable Adult or Child ticket)

Carer/disabled helper: a person accompanying a disabled person

Visitors who have any of the below documentation are entitled to one free carer ticket:

Letter/notice of entitlement for Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payment
Letter from your Doctor
Current and valid Blue Badge or Freedom Pass

 

Group Discount

When you book 10 or more tickets you receive a discount on the cost of the tickets. To make bookings for 10 or more people please email us via groups@silverstonemuseum.co.uk 

Children’s education groups should be booked through our education team at learning@silverstonemuseum.co.uk

Ticket Purchase and Validity

When you have confirmed your order, no details of your booking can be changed without the prior written permission from SHL. Orders for tickets are non-refundable. 

The visit date of your booking can be changed for a £5.00 administration fee, subject to availability and must be done prior to your visit date. Please email us via enquiries@silverstonemuseum.co.uk to arrange this. Please include your booking reference, preferred new visit date and time and your contact telephone number. 

Tickets are for personal use only and cannot be resold, transferred or used for promotional, commercial or fundraising purposes without the prior written permission from SHL.

 

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer and have bought tickets that include a donation, SHL can claim back extra money from the government through the Gift Aid scheme. For every pound paid, SHL can claim back £0.25.

By ticking the box to Gift Aid on your order, you agree that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

Please contact us if you wish to cancel your Gift Aid declaration, if you have changed your name or address, or if you no longer pay sufficient tax to qualify for Gift Aid. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue & Customs to adjust your tax code.

Please note, Gift Aid is not applicable on tickets purchased via a Third Party such as Virgin Experience Days, Buy a Gift or Tesco Clubcard vouchers. 

 

How We Issue Your Tickets

All you need to gain entry is your e-ticket. You can download your QR code via your account online. We will also send you confirmation of your booking information and your unique booking reference to the email address you supplied. We do not send tickets in the post.

There is no need to print your tickets, but if you prefer you can print the QR code or email confirmation and present this upon arrival.

 

Access to the Attraction

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18+). For safety reasons, we recommend one adult is responsible for no more than 6 children.

The Heritage Track Trail is subject to availability.

We reserve the right to remove from the attraction or refuse entry to anyone who:

- Behaves in a way that adversely affects the enjoyment or other visitors
- Uses threatening, abusive or insulting language or behaviour, or in any way provokes a breach of the peace
- Is or appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol

We welcome all registered guide dogs, hearing dogs and medical alert dogs into the attraction. Please contact us via enquiries@silverstonemuseum.co.uk prior to your visit, so that we can make special arrangements with the circuit team, if required to access our Heritage Track Trail. 

We do not allow other dogs or pets into the attraction and they cannot be left in vehicles for safety reasons.

 

Silverstone Circuit – Terms and Conditions when accessing Heritage Trail


SCL reserves the right to remove persons from the Venue who represent a security risk, nuisance or annoyance to the staging of events or who have in their possession prohibited items, which shall include but not be limited to alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, chemicals of any kind, glass bottles, barbeques, ladders, laser pens, weapons or any offensive materials in whatever format.


Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in any of the Venue’s grandstands and enclosed areas.
CCTV and film cameras may be present at the Venue, this includes filming by the police or security staff carried out for the security of visitors, and filming and/or photography by event organisers. By attending the Venue you give your express consent to all such filming and to your actual or simulated likeness being included within any film, photograph, audio and/or audio visual recording (“Footage”), all rights in which will be owned by SCL, the organiser or the relevant third party. You also agree that any such Footage may be used by SCL or the organiser in any and all media for any purpose at any time throughout the world, including (with the exception of CCTV or security Footage) for commercial purposes, such as merchandising or DVDs, without payment or compensation to you. If you wish to withdraw such consent please contact the SCL Data Protection Officer (dataprotectionofficer@silverstone.co.uk).


No animals (with the exception of registered assistance dogs, who must be notified in advance by emailing enquiries@silverstonemuseum.co.uk) will be admitted to the Venue.


The use of photographic equipment is allowed for private non-commercial purposes only. All other recording and any transmission is prohibited. As a condition of entry to the Venue you assign (by way of present assignment of future copyright) the copyright in any photographs or recordings you make at the Venue to SCL and agree that any photographs or recordings shall not be used for any form of public advertisement or display or for any other purposes including without limit for display on any internet site (except the private enjoyment of the person taking the photograph) without SCL’s prior written consent.


The use of drones or similar equipment, for any reason, is prohibited on or near the Venue.
Motor racing is dangerous and noisy and you acknowledge that you may be exposed to possible risk of physical harm due to the nature of the Venue. You are advised to wear hearing protection during track activity. SCL, event organisers (including officials, marshals, rescue or medical staff) and competitors are not responsibility for any loss or damage howsoever caused to you, to the maximum extent permitted by law.


SCL will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage, howsoever caused, to you or your property (“Loss”) except where and only to the extent that any such Loss is caused by the negligence of SCL, its employees or authorised agents.


While at the Venue you should always keep to the designated paths and access all freestanding banked viewing areas with caution using steps/path as appropriate.


In the interests of public safety, SCL reserves the right to request you leave the Venue at any time for safety reasons.

 

Limitation of Liability

SHL’s liability to you is limited to refunding the price of the products if the attraction is unable to open. SHL is not responsible to you to any greater extent. SHL is not liable to you by reason of any representation, implied warranty, condition or other term, duty at common law, under the express terms of these Terms and Conditions or in negligence (whether on the part of SHL, its officers, employees or agents) for an indirect or consequential loss (including financial loss such as loss of profit or otherwise) that you may incur as a consequence of the use of the website, the supply of tickets or their use by you.

SHL shall not be deemed to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions or any other contract with you by reason of any delay in performing or any failure to perform any of its obligations in relation to tickets ordered by you if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall serve to exclude or limit SHL’s liability in respect of death or personal injury caused by SHL’s negligence or the negligence of its officers or employees or for any fraudulent misrepresentation.

No person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have any right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any of your statutory rights which may not be legally excluded.

 

Changes to the Terms and Conditions of Sale

Our Terms and Conditions of Sale may be changed. Please review them regularly. If you continue to use the website after a change has been made you are deemed to have accepted it.

 

Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions of Sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in relation to the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any of these terms or conditions of sale should be deemed to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted and the remaining terms and conditions shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.

GROUP BOOKINGS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions for Group Bookings are made up of (1) these terms and conditions for Group Bookings and (2) Silverstone Heritage Limited’s ticket terms and conditions of sale.

If there is a clash between what these terms say and what the ticket terms and conditions of sale say, then these terms are the ones that apply.

Definitions in the ticket terms and conditions of sale apply to these terms, together with further definitions set out below:

‘Booker’ means either the Group Booker who acts as agent for all members of the booking.

‘Group’ means a single booking for 10 persons or more.

‘Group Booker’ means a person who is at least 18 years of age and who makes a Group Booking.

‘Group Booking’ means any booking made on behalf of a Group.

‘Group Member’ means any person on a Group Booking.

Role of the Booker

The Booker will be responsible for the Group Booking and accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of the Group Members. The Booker will be responsible for receiving and relaying any and all communications concerning the booking.

Making a Booking

General

Group rates apply to 10 persons or more. Groups must book in advance in order to receive the Group Booking discount. Groups are required to arrive within their allocated time slot. Arrival more than half an hour either side of an allocated time slot may render the Group liable for an on the day surcharge (i.e. the difference between the Group Booking discount and the on the day individual ticket price per person).

Each Group Booking may have one free Group Leader per 20 paying persons (not including carers).

For Group Bookings arriving by coach, the coach driver may enter the attraction free of charge. Coaches may park in the designated coach park.
