In 2019 we opened our cutting-edge museum at Silverstone, thanks to the support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the BRDC and our funders and donors. The Silverstone Museum has already captured the imagination of thousands of visitors, both young and old, with a thrilling exhibition on the stars, stories and science of British motor racing. We need your help to enable us continue inspiring future generations.

We could never have anticipated that in our first year of opening, a global pandemic would have such a far-reaching impact on our mission. Covid-19 lockdowns led to many months of closure resulting in a huge loss of revenue. Essential measures to ensure people can safely enjoy their visit have led to significant costs, as well as reducing visitor numbers to ensure social distancing. Despite some welcome Government support for the cultural sector, we need your help more than ever.

Your generosity will enable us to help everyone to engage with and learn from our treasured collections, spaces and stories. Beyond our day-to-day costs we also need to care for and build our collections. Donations help us to carry out important conservation work and to respond to special acquisition opportunities. Crucially, thanks to your donations, we can deliver our education programme that will bring STEM to life in the most exciting way for thousands of school children.
