Senior Marketing Executive
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to, and working closely with the museum CEO, this is an amazing opportunity to help shape the development, growth and future success of the museum, and ultimately help the wider positive impact we make with regards to education, conservation and preservation.
As a not-for-profit organisation, it’s essential that we’re a self-funding and sustainable entity and we can only achieve this and our wider aims through the revenue we generate.
Ultimately your brief will be to help cement and position ‘what we are’ to the public, increase awareness and communicate compelling reasons to visit. Driving up visitation (at the optimum yield), broadening our appeal and engaging with new audiences, plus exploring new and innovative revenue streams, will all be essential to bolster our future success.
Make no mistake, this will require sophisticated, multi-channel marketing plans and activity, with your remit across the full marketing mix, whether that’s working closely with working groups to strengthen and develop our experiences and reasons to visit, developing pricing strategies and promotional partnerships, as well as ensuring effective PR, social and digital/online activity. There will be a primary digital focus, developing the Museum’s multi-channel communications strategies and managing social media and other online accounts.
You’ll manage a Marketing Executive and have strong support on a consultancy basis from our trustees and marketing consultant, as well as external agencies when needed.
ABOUT US
We bring the fascinating story of Silverstone and its association with British motor sport to life through a dynamic, interactive and compelling visitor experience, all housed in a restored WWII aircraft hangar. Whether it’s immersing our visitors in our journey from a Benedictine Monastery to WWII airbase and finally the home of British motor sport, to getting up close and personal to some of the world’s best racing cars and motorcycles, plus walking part of the former F1 circuit, we offer a diverse and multi-experiential day out.
Set up as a Community Benefit Society, our mission goes way beyond simply running an awe-inspiring visitor attraction. We have a strong commitment to preservation, conservation, education and inspiring the next generation in the world of science, technology and engineering.
THE BENEFITS
As well as the opportunity to get in the driving seat of an evolving and exciting business, a not-for-profit organisation delivering a positive impact to the local community and cherishing the history and heritage of the Silverstone story, we offer a competitive salary, pension plan, and a range of employee discounts and of course the opportunity to join a vibrant organisation at the home of British motor racing.
